What is the Lumen PCD ( Process Challenge Device) kit? The sterilization process monitoring can be performed with flexible lumen kits. In the Sterifast® kit there are two types of lumen: opened on both sides and opened only on one side. The difference is only the total length of the lumen. Each PCD has a chamber for placing the sterilization indicators (biological and/or chemical indicators). • 10 meter Lumen: On each side of the chamber there is a capillary tube with 5 meters length and 1 mm of diameter. • 5 meter Lumen: On each side of the chamber there is a capillary tube with 2,5 meters length and 1 mm of diameter. • 3 meter Lumen: The chamber for the indicators is sealed on one side and has a capillary tube with 3 meters length and1 mm of diameter on the other side. • 2 meter Lumen: The chamber for the indicators is sealed on one side and has a capillary tube with 2 meters length and1 mm of diameter on the other side.
